Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs
The Alliance for Arlington Senior Programs (AASP) was established to help meet the needs of Arlington County’s growing senior population. Demographic projections envision almost 60,000 Arlington seniors aged 55+ (the County’s threshold for participating in senior programs) by 2020, and over 76,000 seniors aged 55+ by 2030.

Arlington County offers a full array of Senior Programs.  For example, the County’s Office of Senior Adult Programs currently manages programs that reach over 4,000 individuals age 55 and over.

In the current economic environment the County, like most local government entities, is challenged to do more with less.  AASP was formed to help support and sustain the broad array of programs and services offered to the county’s seniors.  As a nonprofit organization, AASP can apply for grants not available to government agencies, plan fundraisers, and accept tax exempt contributions to support special programs and initiatives.

AASP also provides a unique opportunity for community members to be involved in planning and expanding  programs and services for Arlington's Senior Population.
